Hi all. I’m not an active member of this sub but would love some help. My father is elderly (78) and lives by himself after my mom passed almost 2 years ago. She was the one taking care of the plants. He seemed to be doing a decent job taking care of them until recently but I’m house sitting now while he gets a hip operation and stays in the hospital for a while for physical therapy. His plants seem to be in bad shape and I’m not sure he realizes they are due to failing eyesight. He has two olive trees and two ivy plants (I think). The olive trees are outside on the patio while the ivy plants are inside. He said he sprays the soil with water that has fertilizer in it every morning. I have no idea what the best course of action is to bring them back to life but would very much appreciate any input and maybe I can tell him how to take care of them going forward.
