Will the algorithm show you fewer of similar batches on subsequent days (when you hypothetically might do them b/c it's a slow day)? Hold it against you in any way?
This feature just debuted in my area. It's hard to resist the inclination to hide batches, but it's hardly necessary, considering the batch screen contra the past usually does not show several batches at once.

To understand a proof I create a story where I deduce from the thesis what to do.
It's a line of reasoning that justifies the logic behind.
Example. Prove the formula for the sum of the first n terms of a geometric sequence
S(n)=a1*((1-q^n)/(1-q)) , q=!1

Proof.
s(n)=a1+a1q+...+a1q^(n-1)
qS(n)= a1q+...+a1q^n
Sn-qSn= a1+a1q^n

Story
I have to define LHS. RHS is the product of a1 with a monster. If I kill the denominator, I discover that I have to define the terms of Sn s.t. sn-qsn=a1+a1q^n. So i define the nth term an=a1q^n-1, do the subtraction and have the thesis.

Questions:

a) Do you do that for every theorem or problem solution?

It's a very time consuming process and I'm not sure they're useful.

b) Is it still possible to do that for more complex mathematics?

c) To derive the story above I have casually observed that killing the denominator of the thesis provided a justification for the passage "subtract side by side".
What If the passages have not a rationale and I'm searching something that doesn't exist?

So I wish I thought to grab a screenshot but thought it best not to, but as I was watching this Monday’s episode (video exclusive to spotify) and Bob just got done ranting about the random ad stuff in phone hold systems a taco bell ad popped up on my spotify 🤣. It was like oh hey ik you’re watching this video, but its morning time and I bet you could use some taco bell breakfast!

So to make a long story short, a lot of things have happened in my life recently, I lost track of a few things, my registration expired and my car insurance expired and not paid in march. I realized this and was gonna fix it all this week but my luck I was pulled over this morning. Officer was nice, he let me get my insurance back right there on the scene but still gave me citations. He even spoke to the GEICO representative to verify I got it right there on the scene. I’m reading here in the state of Ga you can face 1 year of jail, I have two kids and I can’t leave them for one year over a mistake… I have no criminal record, this is the first time this has happened, what are my options? I would assume since he let me get it on the scene everything should work out, can I just pay this or what’s going to happen? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sooo... I've had Xfinity forever, since they blocked other services N years ago. In the beginning, my service was ok at $40/mo, then I had to upgrade due to throttling... fine. The CSR said they had 200 mbps for $65/mo. It was a $25 hike, but I could make it work. I'm pretty comfortable here, but then my bill jumped to $100+. Ofc I called! The CSR stated that the $65/mo was a promotional price, it expired, and I HAD no choice but to move to their next best promo at $90+/mo.
At this point, I can't afford my internet. $65 was ok... $90 puts me in a pickle. I wanted my old plan back, but the pushy rep kept telling me I HAD to jump at his deal bc it was the only one and I had to act fast. That I could call any time to change it - deals chg daily!
Today, on reddit, someone wrote that they're only paying $50/mo for 500mbps. THIS I could afford.

(this is cross posted in xfinity support b/c I'm really new to reddit, and I'm not sure where I should be posting for help)

The curve in my LRW class was crazy tight this semester (like 4pts between a c+ and a B+ out 200 pts). I unfortunately was on the lower end even though I felt I had done well in the class. When I inquired about my grade I found out she took off 5pts points for “professionalism” based entirely on the fact I missed a group zoom meeting shortly before spring break. However I had emailed her several days before missing the meeting that I was unsure I would be able to attend and asked her if she would be able to record it for me. In her response, she stated she would do so “happily” but missing the meeting would count towards an unexcused absence (the class allows one without grade penalty and it was my only one). Upon my return from Spring Break, I inquired about getting the meeting’s recording, to which she denied ever agreeing to do and then accused me of skipping the meeting to start my spring break early. I did not confirm or deny her accusation as I believed my activities outside of class were none of her concern and then proceeded to set up an in person meeting with her to discuss what I missed (absolutely nothing important btw). It essentially seems to me that she docked me a whole letter grade for missing a meeting that she told me I was allowed to skip. I don’t want to burn any bridges with this professor but also I don’t feel like I deserve the GPA hit.

I had originally come to this sub-reddit after my then partner blindsided me with a breakup. You can find that post here. For the sake of brevity, I will briefly summarise that post in the next paragraph.
We reconnected in February this year after having broken up years ago on account of my toxic behaviour. Everything was going really well until one day I mentioned something that triggered memories of that traumatic past with me. After I mentioned that ‘something’ (which is factually true), she texted me that she did not want to see me because of the memories it triggered. Even though I asked her if we could speak, she said she did not want to. She also made it clear that she did not want to give me a chance and that being with me is a reminder of that time from the past and she did not feel good about it.
After that conversation, I have been largely no-contact with her except for once when I texted her to tell her I submitted grad school application. She congratulated me on that and then she told me it is not a good idea to text when I asked her if she was okay with me texting her. It broke me and I finally accepted that ‘we’ are over. I did not text her after that. However, some weeks later, she drunk called me. It made me really anxious, but I missed her so much that I stayed on the call. She told me she made out with someone and they are really cute. I was hurt, but I tried to hide it as best as I could. I understand we are broken up, but it felt absolutely mean to call me up to tell me that she made out with someone after she resolutely refused to speak to me after the break up. Eventually, I chalked it down to her being drunk. I tried not to think about it even though I felt like I meant nothing to her. It is so unlike her to make out with someone like that. She texted me apologising in the morning as well.
After that episode, and how anxious that made me feel, I felt it was time I moved on. Of course, even though I had decided this some time back it was still very much a work in progress. Then she texted me again.
When we were together, I had made plans to meet her in her country of residence (let’s call this country A) in June. My family also lives in country A. Accordingly, I had arranged for visiting country A in June. She texted me asking if I was in country A. I said I was—I had just arrived when she texted me. She asked me if I would be comfortable meeting her for drinks. This was surprising because she told me she did not want to meet me at all when she broke up with me. Despite having decided to move on, this conversation triggered in me a hope of reconciliation. I told her I could meet her if she wants to. Then she followed it up with a caveat that we are not getting back together and this meeting was just to ‘catch up.’ It had me confused and a tad sad, but I got caught up with things after that moment and did not ask her about it.
Sometime later, when I looked up a close friend who is also in country A to let him know I was in the city, I saw that the last message I had sent him was a broken link. Then it struck me: the link was a picture of my ex-partner and I. It had been shared by a restaurant where we had a really good time and I had shared it with my friend because of how much I loved that picture. She had it pulled down. She knew how much that picture meant for me. And she had once told me that she is not someone who deletes pictures from the past because she no longer talks to the person in the picture since it usually represented a really good time. Boy, did that hurt me.
I asked her if she had the picture pulled down. She said she did. I asked her why she had it pulled down. She said her best friend found about ‘us’ from the picture and he got hurt that she did not tell him we were back together. For context, he hates me. She added that she was trying to remove ‘traces of us’ from the internet: she did not want ‘us’ to exist on the internet even as an archive. I felt really, really hurt that she would have a picture of us removed because her best friend got hurt because she did not tell him about us. It was the final nail in the I-did-not-mean-shit-coffin for me. I told her it was petty and she told me did not regret it. She told me that she felt ‘ashamed’ of the picture and the fact that she let me back in her life. I told her that she would have to completely expunge me from her life then. She said she did not want to do it. After a bit of back and forth, I asked her if she does not like me.. She said she did not see me that way anymore. I told her that I like her and I will always have hopes of reconciliation when we talk. So, I told her, it is best if we don’t talk anymore. I then wished her all the best and asked her to see if trauma is something she can explore in therapy.
I did not text her after that. She texted me the next day but quickly deleted them. Ordinarily, I would have asked what she had deleted.. I did not this time. A few days later, she texted me again and asked if I would be comfortable with meeting her. I indicated I was not. Then sometime later she texted me asking for a professional help. I extended whatever I could do. She thanked me and said she would like to take me to drink for the help. I said that was not necessary. She insisted, I asked her why she would want to hang out with someone with whom she is ashamed to be seen. She mentioned what I had done in the past,, and it broke me. I have apologised to her so many times and religiously committed to bettering myself. I cannot possibly keep on trying to convince her I am a better person when she repeatedly tells me I am bad. I was done. I had tried. I was awful in the past, but I don’t think that empowers anyone to keep putting me down. I did not say anything. I walked away.
In the morning, I woke up feverish and to apologies from her. She apologised for having the picture taken down and how things ended with us. I told her that I know I fucked up in the past but it is not cool to keep putting me down. From her texts, it occurred to me that she is not doing very well. I asked her if she still wants to meet and she said yes. So we are meeting this weekend.
I know this is really long and convoluted but I would truly appreciate some insight from the more experienced folx out there. We will be spending at least twenty four hours together. She is really vulnerable right now. What are something’s things I should watch out for? Is there something I could do to make it better for her? Should I bring up reconciliation? Any insight at all will be appreciated. Thank you so much.

My Mom passed on Saturday morning after a long battle with stage 4 endometrial cancer. Her death has gutted me and my family, as she was the pillar of our family.
Thankfully, yesterday I reached for my DMT, and I’m so glad I did, because I saw her in my vision.
She told me she still exists in my heart and through my voice, meaning I have her words. 😂 She was being funny about using her words because I can be sassy like she was. Then she floated over my head and told me she’s still here with me all the time.
This medicine is so powerful!
One weird observation was around her were these Aztec or Mayan ancestors. I think they brought her to me. The weird part is I saw them at a retreat I did earlier this year in Mexico too. I’m not sure what that means but I think they are like my protectors or guides?
Hopefully in time she or they will tell me.
I feel an immense sense of relief right now. I spent hours awake the night before questioning if the afterlife exists and questioning what I learned in Mexico. But Mom told me to stop doing that. What I saw is real.

I woke up today doing some introspection of what actually happened between me and my exwBPD. I constantly feel like a detective trying to piece together a crime. So this morning, I came to the painful realization that she was consistently cheating on me the entire two years that we were “exclusive”. I was looking into some of the historical messages and pics that I still have on my phone and was looking at an exchange and pictures from two years ago. Based on this it became pretty clear that the cheating was happening then. This made me so angry this morning. Luckily, I needed to a drive and that helped calm me down a bit. My brain was imagining a scenario where I was confronting her about this and it’s like she was right there. I just can’t make sense how someone could do that to someone else for two years straight and not feel a damn ounce of remorse. It’s psychopathy of the highest degree in my books. I needed to write this down somewhere so I can get it it out of my system.

Let me start by saying that I’m not mechanically inclined.
This morning, my Nautilus’s middle spray arm was partly still extended when I went to unload the dishwasher. I was able to easily just press down a little and it dropped back down, but I’m wondering if it’s safe to continue using or if I should call for maintenance. I’m able to pull up on the spray arm parts, with zero resistance, and I don’t know if that’s normal or not. Just don’t want to try to use it and damage anything further.

Last night I got home from a 5 day vacation to Miami with 2 of my best friends from college. It was the first time we have all had enough money to really go all out and plan a fun resort vacation for the girls. The 3 of us girls are ages 23-25.
The 3 of us girls are very relaxed and rarely partied in college and loved our routines and healthy schedules. We made jokes that we never got the “college” experience of staying out all night—so we decided to full send it in Miami and party each night into the early morning. And by party, I mean we would eat dinner at 7pm, take a nap until 10pm, get ready and then start our night out around midnight, and come home between 3-5am. This is extremely unlike us and we were laughing about how hilarious it was that we did and probably won’t ever do it again. We didn’t even really drink, especially me—I had one drink each night.
I’m the only one in the group that isn’t single, so my friends definitely flirted with guys and danced with them, and I just kinda danced around them and would tell boys that tried to dance with me that I have a boyfriend. One of the guys my friends danced with invited us up to his hotel room, and although my friends were interested to go, I obviously told them no, and went to my own hotel room.
I told my boyfriend about the whole trip and he got extremely upset. He said he wasn’t mad at me, but that all of this was very unlike me and he is sad that I seem to be more wild around my friends than I am with him. He went through my instagram followers and saw I followed two guys while on my trip, and started accusing me of lying to him. I followed these guys because they were promoters and we had no clue how to get into clubs because we never go out. I explained this to my boyfriend and he still seemed bothered and upset. He also got upset that I was even in a position to be asked up to some guys hotel room, even though I turned it down.
Did I do something wrong?
TL;DR: went on girls trip to Miami and partied even though it’s out of character for me. Basically did it to cross off a “Im young and in my twenties” bucket list, and now my boyfriend is concerned even though I did nothing to disrespect him.

So apparently in ATSV, Peter B’s universe is labeled 616-B. I think the reason they did this was to clarify that this universe wasn't the same as the comics to appease fans that were confused or just couldn't except it. This feeds into the idea that all Marvel properties are connected (MCU, Comics, Sony). Which, in my opinion, is the worst thing about Marvel discourse maybe post-Multiverse of Madness. Maybe post-Venom actually. But that's a different conversation.
Narratively, I like the idea that the Sony multiverse is largely self-contained. That 1610 Miles in ITSV, is simply their interpretation of Ultimate universe Miles. Same with Gwen or Noir and everyone else. It seemed like that was the case with Peter B. because his universe was 616 in ITSV. But now we're just left with "everyone else has their universe number from the comics except for Peter B. who has this weird letter for some reason." But I think I have a solution for this. One that allows Sony to have an equivalent of the main Marvel universe 616, without it having to literally be the one from the comics.
Peter B’s universe was created after One More Day. Or Sony 616 Peter's equivalent of that.
I think this lines up perfectly because, when you think about it, we know two things when we’re introduced to Peter B. in the first movie:

1. He was married to Mary Jane
2. He buried Aunt May sometime within the last 15 years

And, wouldn’t you know it, the profile of a hypothetical 616 Peter, that didn’t take Mephisto’s deal:

1. Would’ve been married to MJ. Check.
2. And would have buried Aunt May sometime in the last 15 years. One More Day, which was published in 2007. Eleven years before ITSV in 2018. Check.

Additionally, it would make sense that Peter B’s universe would have a letter designation rather than its own number.
His universe is the product of demon meddling, which would make it different from the others. I imagine whoever gives universes their designations in the Spider Society must have noticed that Peter B’s universe was in a weird situation. So, they called it 616-B to indicate that it was somehow entangled with 616.
I like this interpretation because it avoids all the inconsistency and baggage that comes with having the actual Marvel Comics 616 exist in this multiverse. It lets Sony have their cake and eat it too.
