 | Hi. Was wondering if i can get some ideas on what you think i should read next. I'm relatively new to the genre and I've read a few things. I'm now at the point where I've gotten used to the styles and tropes and have a better idea of what i like and what i don't . submitted by Shahed1987 to haremfantasynovels [link] [comments] Based on what I've read so far, I'm definitely a story first kind of guy. When new i liked the 'spice' initially, but after some time i found myself often skipping or skim reading them for any dialogue that might be relevant. I like stories with an overarching plotline. Slice of Life can be okay, but don't catch me as well. To probably no suprise, I'm a bif fan of KD Robertson books. Spellblade is my favourite series I've read in the genre, and Demon's Throne got better and better after a slow start. I love the world and almost empire building aspects. The only real issue with Roberrsons books is how the harem or spice elements seem almost forced into the books. Almost like since it's part of the harem genre, they have to be there. I feel like the books might have been better if they weren't harem, and having near every woman pretty much instantly decide they wanted to have sex with MC felt jarring. Which takes me onto relationship progression. As i said, I am here for the story. Relationships are fine, but I'd like them to feel more meaningful. When they happen to fast, they feel devalued to me. I prefer more development. For example in Spellblade I liked Seraph the best, and similarly Fara in Demon's Throne. I'd much rather have a smaller core of well developed women and relationships, compared to a large checklist of near interchangeable women. This is one thing i really liked about Mastering Magic by Kirk Mason. It's no exaggeration to say the relationships and the way women were written in that were so much better than anything else. I could definitely do with the women having more agency and focus. One of my other favourites was Paladin of the Sigil by Marvin Knight. I also really liked Dungeon Diving from Bruce Sentar. I've liked the rpglit elements I've came across so far, and the dungeon aspects are interesting. I've liked a lot of Bruce's other books and just finished Saving Supervillians. The issues i have with them though is they stray towards harem creep. I haven't read Dragon Justice yet, but if there's going to be 8 books at least, I imagine it'll most likely have 10+ members and I start to lose interest. About the only series that has worked for me with so many members is the one that got me into the genre. Three Square Meals. I've heard good things about Wolf Kings Lair and especially anything by Cebellius. Except I'm somewhat apprehensive as I'm not really a fan of monster girls. I prefer humans, or at least humanoid. Elves are fine. So are are like cat or fox girls. But anything more than say a tail and some ears puts me off. Especially once bug girls and other stuff come into it like in Herald of Shalia. Lastly there are two authors I'm interested in, but haven't read any books from as of yet. William D. Arand and Daniel Schinofen. Thing is they have so many books that are actually highly reviewed, i have no idea where to start. So yes if you've made it this far, sorry for the long post, and thanks for reading. Just wondering if people have any advice on what to read next. Ideally they'd be books that are finished or near finished. Hello all, I have an axolotl that is about 2.5-3” in length so very young I would assume. I feed him frozen blood worms that I put in a mason jar and he often times has a hard time finding the food. I put the jar in the tank before work today and he seemed to be looking for the entry but when I got home from work all of the bloodworms were still in the jar. I finally got him to eat but still, any advice helps!
Also, for cycling, I cycled my tank for 5-6 weeks before getting my axolotl and I’m wondering what some good processes are to maintain a healthy environment for him.

 | First time in Months I was able to get about 8/10 hours out in the back garden. Here’s what I found. Nice mix and obviously haven’t posted the 3000 bits of odd lead, foil, can bits, jar lids and general junk. submitted by rummaging-through to metaldetecting [link] [comments] Nice to get a good condition George 3, about 5 or 6 Victoria, George V, possible trade token, tiny silver hammered (ID to come), my first Jetton I think, Roman fibula, heaps of buckles as usual, loads of rings, as usual, Victorian lead bands with I think have the names of roses of them, found these before, tons of muskets balls as usual, buttons for days, big lead weight (?) and obvious Roman- later pot mends. In the bottom left is my more unknown. Random triangle key, interesting shaped possible leather end but, and what appears to be a zip puller but is much older than zip tech so at least Victorian I would say, so unclear what it is. |

 | I ordered an oz of their skunk berry og for $1 a gram. it's not the freshest buds but I've been enjoying it a lot. the smell is still there, the taste is still there, doesn't feel dry but isn't super sticky or anything. Hi. So whenever I make cannabis coconut oil using ABV weed, I would always use the no smell method of preparing it. Basically I would do this by placing the liquid oil and ABV weed in a closed mason jar, and placing it in a pot of water. After letting it come to a boil/simmer, over the stove, I would boil/simmer it for 2 hours.
However, I'm kind of tired of checking on the stove a lot for 2 hours, and wanted to try another method of preparing it. Instead of heating up the cannaoil for 2 hours, would leaving the prepared oil/abv weed mixture in a mason mason jar alone for a certain number of hours have the same affect? How long should I leave it for before straining the ABV weed from the oil to get the same effect as heating it up for 2 hours?

Had my deepest dmt trip on the 2nd. Still not anywhere even close to a breakthrough but I though I’d share my experience.
I made some homemade vape carts and decided to do a proper test of one of the best ones. I inhaled for 5 seconds, and then 3 more hits of 3-4 seconds each. The distant trees wobbled and breathed intensely and the contrast of everything began morphing and. All the patterns and textures around seemed to line up or come into phase such that I felt like I could see through everything and into a sparkling black void background. The distant mountain formed shapes that looked almost like a giant lion face looking directly at me. I looked up into the blue sky as a slight ringing in my ears and a head pressure became noticeable. A web hyperbolic star shaped fibers became crystal clear in my vision (I see this very frequently but not this vivid usually). As I continued to come up, they layered over each other and morphed before forming a kind of tunnel that moved inwards to the center of my vision. It looked like I was receding backwards through this organic geometric tunnel of white fibrous lines. I laid back, closed my eyes and went into the trip.
Immediately there appeared to be dozens of creatures that spiraled around me in a clockwise motion and met up with me head to head. They were morphing constantly, made up of very tribal textures that I would describe as Mayan glyphs or Native American art. They appeared as dragons, birds, turtles, gryphons, serpents and all manner of animals. It felt as if my consciousness was a solid energetic or magnetic force roughly in the shape of a cylinder. My body and the environment I was laying in (on a blanket in the grass outside) felt like a jar that the cylinder was magnetically slotted down into. The animals, which I want to describe as 'spirits' rather than typical 'entities' were swirling on a clothlike sheet that was in between my magnetic awareness and this jarlike shape. It felt like my head was a jar with its lid screwed on really tight or something. The creatures seemed to be trying to pull this membrane-like sheet taught and thus 'pop' my awareness out of it's container. It was a very physical sensation. Being in this state reminded me that I've felt something similar on a couple of previous light dose trips, where there is a distinct pressure building, but it never leads to anything. The beings and I both noted that I was really 'stuck down in there' and they were unable to apply the amount of force needed to open the jar so to speak. I wouldn't say there was communication but there was definitely a mutual understanding of this, and of how rooted in reality I was. There were also weird critters that started scurrying and chittering around on the deck behind where I was laying irl as the peak of this occurred. I opened my eyes and sat up as I began to come down. The environment looked absolutely nuts like everything was melting and swirling. All the tree branches looked like they formed perfect hexagonal structures. Working on some art to depict the various visuals currently.
It was a very cool trip overall, very mellow and not intense. Being able to come up gradually and comfortably with the vapes is super nice, and the environment I was in (super secluded in nature) ensured I didn't fear at any point. Not crazy profound or anything but some fun imagery. It's very apparent to me that if I were to take a larger dose the beings / spirits / entities would be able to 'pop' me through that clothlike sheet and into some other place. If I had to guess the dose of this trip it would maybe have been around 15mg but really have no clue. I definitely will be returning to it before too long. Also a sidenote I had my first 'ufo' sighting about 40 minutes after the trip which I still don't know what to make of lol. If you read all of this thank you! Wish I could make these descriptions more succinct.
TL;DR Took dmt, morphing animal spirits surrounded me and we mutually acknowledged that there wasn't enough force necessary to pop me out of this reality

so... i want to make a vacuum cleaner, where the canister is a mason jar (quickly loading lots of stuff into several mason jars efficiently).
i'm looking for some guidance on how i can design fan blades to best draw aisuction. i have a prototype already, but i'm using a server fan and its only like 26W, but really i need like 300w.. my intent is to use a DC motor. this has been done before, but specifics for fan design isn't thoroughly discussed. "dust collector" is a good, related, starting point but again not a lot of thoroughly discussed design approach.

I was wondering if anyone has transferred colonized uncle bens bags to oats with any success? How much should I use? Is 1 uncle bens bag enough for 5 quart jars? Will my jars stay sterilized for 5 days or so while they finish colonizing?

So I'm currently tripping on LSA. I did a port wine extraction on just a little under 300 of morning glory seeds for over 25 hours, refrigerated them, kept the mixture in a sealed mason jar, covered in tin foil. Strained the plant matter best I could. And the residue I had left over on my hands I rubbed into my forearms and forehead. Ya know the areas where the blood vessels sit directly under. I drank the mixture and shamefully to say I puked very violently after just 10 minutes. I thought that wasn't going to be long enough to feel anything. I endured sickness for over an hour and swore I wasn't going to feel any effects. But I did experince a come-up like feeling similar to acid, but then it sorta subsided along with the nausea.
Now comes the part where I explain. why I'm typing this into this sub and not LSAs sub. I took out the bong. I dunno what I was thinking, well I'm not, I'm tripping balls, but I didn't realise I was until after I took a hit of some saliva mixed with blue lotus lol. I inhaled, exhaled. Nothing directly happened, but I became aware of my heart. It was rapidly beating, I could see the literal chemical structure of LSA bind itself to my blood cells and flow in the direction of my chest occurred in my minds perception my heart starting beating forwards, backwards, left and right. Never have I been so confused in my life, the beating progessed worse the more I got agitated by the sounds coming from my chest. I got a knife like pain in my right side directly into my stomach area and I believe this is the salvia trying to indicate to me, your stomach is ruined from the projectile sickness of the comeup. It's been almost an hour since that and I still have that sharp pain in my gut. The salvia has like overpowered the LSA completely by now and I'm in a super weird dream like state.
I did this combo, because I loved salvia, where I thought I did until my last few trips have been more pushing negative than I'd like to admit. But I'll take the defeat, I was abstaining myself from saliva, its been almost 2 weeks I'd like to say from I last give it an attempt, but that come up on those morning glory seeds had me begging out to every god to give me the strength to get over this burden of illness and that's when I heard salvia being whispered in my ears. Like it was something almost comparing how ridiculously more awful the trials of LSA containing seeds are compared to salvia. So that's what made me act and not think, I think.
Damn I've lost my train of thought of what I was even going to say. I'm sorry if this didn't make sense and was just a bit random. Hi!! So I somehow forgot a jar of kimchi (Maangchi’s recipe) in the back of my fridge for uh… a year. It doesn’t have any mold or discoloration, and it still smells really good.
I know kimchi is sometimes fermented for long periods of time, but I thought I’d ask people’s thoughts on it just in case. It looks and smells just fine, it’s been kept cold at the back of the fridge this whole time (behind newer jars of different kimchis), and the top is one that lets air out but not in so it’s been kept away from contaminants.
Thoughts?

Started off by finding a picture relevant to canning, hence the Mason jar. Used some smaller images with some borders that matched the colour palette of the main background picture. Also decided to add an SMS text message-like notification with the caption. The heart symbol in the top is just to mimmick social media. What do you guys and girls think? |

On 2 recent occasions I purchased Aeriz Florida Oranges concentrate:
1.) Zenleaf Evanston: when I got home and opened jar, concentrate had leaked out (1/2 of the jar) onto outside of jar, threads & cap. I contacted Zenleaf and was given a $48.00 credit to purchase an Aeriz replacement. a.) I purchased GMO concentrate (as I didn't want to relive that again).
2.) A month later, I purchased Aeriz Florida Oranges concentrate at Sunnyside/Wrigleyville. b.) Again, concentrate had leaked out and all over, it was a different batch. c.) Sunnyside gave me a $20.00 credit as a courtesy? The support staff (corporate) stated; "there is still usable product in jar", therefore a "partial" credit. The jar sat for~5 weeks, lid loose and oxidized, no smell, loss of terpenes, etc., hello?
In the meantime I contacted Aeriz, they just replied:
"Sunnyside is the only dispensary that doesn't allow them (Aeriz) to intercede in providing a full credit"
I emailed Sunnyside corporate today, told them to go "pound sand" and closed my account.
I have been to: Cannabist, Ascend, Consume and 2 Zenleaf dispensaries and never got treated so poorly as a Medical patient by any of them. Then there is Sunnyside, sad!

Im new, and have 8 bags spawned to bulk going right now that i used spore syringes with. I've got liquid culture coming now and am going to do the no pressure cooker rice jars. With quart jars, am i going to be using 1cc of culture per jar, or bag if i do a few? Also, other side question- Ive read conflicting reports with brown rice vs. Popcorn for the jars, is one better than the other?
